Telex SAP612 Source Assignment Panel Passive Source Assignment Panel (2-Bus to 6-Bus)
The SAP612 source assignment panel expands a basic two-bus intercom into a full six-bus system. Using a matrix of front-panel slide switches, it independently assigns each of twenty-four TW channels, arranged as twelve two-channel user-station strings, to any one of six common busses. That lets a production route crew, camera, audio, and lighting onto their own conversations without rewiring the plant.
The SAP612 is completely passive and needs no power. Connections run through two 1/4-inch jacks, three 3-pin XLR female connectors, and twelve 3-pin XLR male connectors, and two balanced, transformer-isolated program inputs feed permanently onto busses five and six. Switchable 200-ohm line terminations keep the two-wire lines properly loaded, and two or more panels can run in parallel when a show needs still more output assignments. It mounts in one rack unit of a standard 19-inch rack.
