Telex TT-16 16-Channel Broadcast Wireless IFB Transmitter
The TT-16 is a 16-channel frequency-agile synthesized IFB base-station transmitter. An operator picks any of 16 RF channels from the front panel to dodge interference, and a backlit LCD shows the selected channel, the Hi or Low RF power setting, the intercom input source, and the input level. Up to five TT-16 transmitters can run at once in one location on unoccupied TV channels.
It takes an intercom or program feed on a 3-pin XLR input and also provides a 1/4-inch unbalanced line-level output for local monitoring, and it is compatible with Audiocom, Radiocom, and RTS TW systems. The transmitter operates in the 64 to 68 MHz band (TV channels 3 and 4) with a switchable 50 mW high / roughly 5 mW low RF output and a reliable range of over 750 feet to a TR-16 talent receiver.
