Telex SSA-324 Analog System-to-System Adapter Analog System-To-System Interface Adapter
The SSA-324 is an analog system-to-system adapter that passes voice between two separate intercom systems that would not otherwise talk to each other. It holds two independent two-wire to four-wire converters, giving two channels of 2-wire to 4-wire conversion, and the same pair can be cross-connected at the four-wire level to act as a single 2-wire to 2-wire interface. The four-wire side both delivers and accepts high-level signals, so it drops cleanly into a matrix or a console feed.
System A connects at J101 and System B at J102, both XLR-3 female, with the four-wire connections carried on J131 and J103. The unit runs on 16 VAC and fits a compact half-rack, 1 RU chassis. The SSA-324-#U variant adds a signal option board when call or tally signals need to cross between the two systems as well.
