Telex/RTS SS-1002U Single-Channel Speaker Station

The SS-1002U is the flush-mount version of RTS Audiocom's single-channel speaker station, built into a WKP wall box so it sits clean in a fixed installation. It gives a room a hands-free intercom position: the built-in speaker and panel microphone let someone talk and listen without a headset, and push-to-talk plus a hands-free latching key cover both momentary and open-mic use. When quiet is needed, a headset, telephone-style handset, or optional gooseneck microphone can take over instead.

A Speaker Key selects the built-in speaker or hands the audio to a headset/handset, and a Panel Mic Key swaps between the panel or gooseneck microphone and the headset. As a single-channel station it drops onto one leg of an Audiocom two-wire party line, drawing its power from the intercom line. The U version installs flush in a wall with the supplied WKP box, while the P, S, and RM siblings cover desktop, portable, and rack duty.
