Sony CNA-2 Camera Control Network Adapter
The CNA-2 is Sony's camera control network adapter: it exposes a Sony system-camera setup to the network so it can be monitored, configured and controlled from a browser rather than only from panels in one control room. A dashboard gives an overview of the cameras across a multi-camera, multi-site production, and device logs from the connected equipment are aggregated and visualized in one place.
The secure web API covers the day-to-day work - format settings, camera painting, RCP assignment and previews - so a shading operator can work from wherever they are based. Deploy a CNA-2 at each site and manage the sites centrally; multiple units connect for integrated system management. It also acts as a protocol converter and a gateway to third-party devices. The chassis is small, and an electronic paper display on the front shows IP addresses along with version and licence information, while the web UI visualizes grouping and settings for SR Live and Networked Live. Optional Sony software licences extend it further, including HZC-GWCN2 gateway control and HZC-MSUCN2 web MSU.
