Sony HDCU-3500L Next-Generation LEMO Camera Control Unit

The Sony HDCU-3500L is the camera control unit built for the HDC-3500 line, packaged in a compact half-rack-width 3U chassis specifically to save space in OB trucks and flypacks where every rack unit is fought over. It supplies power to the camera, handles signal processing, and interfaces to switchers, monitors, and intercom over four 3G/HD/SD-SDI BNC connections. Beyond the HDC-3500, it natively supports the HDC-3100 and existing HDC-2500 series cameras, and can even connect to the flagship HDC-5500 with the right hardware options - useful for a rental house standardizing on one CCU across mixed fleets.

12G-SDI and 4K output come online with the optional HZCU-UHD35 software license, and the optional HKCU-SFP50 IP interface kit adds SMPTE ST 2110 4K/HD IP video, audio, and intercom for IP-based trucks. Web-browser menu control covers setup and status monitoring across multiple CCUs at once, including setting-file import/export and remote firmware updates. Combined with the optional HKCU-SM50 kit, the HDCU-3500L can run single-mode fiber to an HDC-3500 or HDC-3100 camera over distances up to 6.21 miles, and the optional HKCU-REC55 recording board lets the CCU record the live feed straight to USB SSD or network storage.
