Shure MX202W MS
The MX202W-A/MS is a Microflex overhead condenser fitted with a lobar mini-shotgun cartridge, the tightest pickup in the MX202 line. That narrow lobe reaches down for a single source and rejects everything to the sides, which is what you want when a mic hangs well above a stage, a pulpit, or a drama set and has to ignore the noise around it. The white (W) finish blends into light ceilings, and the in-line preamp ends in a standard XLR connector.
A four-inch flexible gooseneck aims the capsule, and because the cartridge is interchangeable, the same mic can later carry a cardioid or supercardioid capsule if the coverage need changes. A 30 ft cable connects the capsule to the preamp, and the mic runs on 11-52V phantom power. A stand-mount adapter ships in the box for stand or podium use alongside overhead hanging.
