Shure MX202W AC

The MX202W-A/C is an overhead hanging condenser from Shure's Microflex Overhead line, finished in white so it disappears against a light ceiling above a choir, stage, or orchestra pit. This version carries the cardioid cartridge, which reaches down onto a section from above while rejecting sound from the sides and rear. Because the cartridge threads onto the flexible gooseneck, the same mic can be re-tasked later with a supercardioid or mini-shotgun capsule as a room's needs change.

A 30 foot cable runs to an in-line preamp with a transformerless, balanced output that resists noise over the long run to the mixer, ending in a standard 3-pin XLR that draws phantom power. A stand-mount adapter is included, so the same mic can be flown from a hanging point or set on a stand.
