Shure AD1 Axient Digital Plug-On Wireless Transmitter

The AD3 is an Axient Digital plug-on transmitter that clamps onto any wired microphone and turns it into a wireless one, with the RF performance and wide tuning of Shure's flagship digital platform. A patent-pending locking XLR connector holds the mic wobble-free, switchable phantom power feeds condensers when needed, and automatic input staging sets the gain so the signal arrives clean. It is built for field reporting, film and television capture, and interviews where the wired mic is already the right tool and only the cable needs to disappear.

An OLED display and simple menu keep control local, and the rugged metal body resists dust and moisture on location. Transmission runs with AES 256-bit encryption for secure audio over a 300 foot line-of-sight range, and selectable Standard and High Density modes trade low latency for channel count as the RF environment demands. It powers from two AA batteries or an optional Shure SB900B rechargeable pack good for up to 8 hours, and charges over USB-C. The box includes 2 AA batteries, a USB-A to USB-C cable, a belt clip/pouch, and a zippered storage bag.
