Shure AD2/B87C

The AD2/B87C is a handheld transmitter for Shure's Axient Digital wireless platform, fitted with the BETA 87C cardioid condenser cartridge. The cardioid pattern gives clean isolation with minimal off-axis coloration, which makes it a natural match for singers working with in-ear monitors on a loud stage. Audio rides on Axient Digital's wide-tuning RF engine with AES 256-bit encryption enabled for secure transmission, and a low-profile lockable power switch keeps the channel from being cut mid-song.

Two transmission modes let the mic follow the room: Standard mode gives optimal coverage and low latency, while High Density mode packs in the maximum number of system channels for crowded RF environments. External charging contacts let the transmitter dock and top up without opening the battery door. It is offered in the G57 (470-616 MHz), K54 (606-663 MHz), and X55 (941-960 MHz) bands, and ships with the AD2/B87C, a microphone clip, a zipper bag, two AA batteries, and a user guide.
