Shure AD2/K9N
The Shure AD2/K9N is an Axient Digital handheld wireless transmitter fitted with the KSM9 dual-pattern condenser capsule, finished in nickel. The KSM9 is a premium vocal capsule with switchable cardioid and supercardioid patterns and a detailed, natural top end, so it brings studio-grade condenser sound to a wireless stage. It is the handheld end of Shure's flagship Axient Digital platform, used where RF reliability and audio quality cannot be compromised.
The transmitter runs in a wide UHF tuning bandwidth and offers selectable RF output of 2, 10, or 35 mW to trade range against channel count, reaching up to 330 ft line of sight with encrypted transmission and a high-density mode for crowded spectrum. It powers from two AA batteries for up to 8 hours or the SB900A rechargeable lithium-ion battery for up to 9 hours, with a backlit display and a lockable power switch. It is available in the G57 (470-616 MHz), K54 (606-663 MHz), and X55 (941-960 MHz) tuning bands.
