Shure AD2/B87A
The Shure AD2/B87A is a handheld wireless transmitter for Axient Digital systems, topped with the fixed BETA 87A supercardioid electret condenser capsule. The condenser element gives a vocal the detail and airy top end singers reach for, while the supercardioid pattern rejects monitors and stage wash to hold back feedback. Two transmission modes cover different jobs: Standard mode for the widest coverage, and High Density mode to pack the most channels into a crowded RF environment.
Built to survive a working stage, the AD2/B87A carries a low-profile lockable power switch and 256-bit AES encryption for secure, private transmission. It runs on two AA batteries or the Shure SB900B rechargeable lithium-ion pack, and external contacts allow docked charging without opening the housing. It ships in G57 (470-616 MHz), K54 (606-663 MHz), or X55 (941-960 MHz) tuning bands, and includes a microphone clip, zipper bag, two AA batteries, and a user guide.
