Shure AD2/VP68
The AD2/VP68 is a handheld wireless transmitter for Shure Axient Digital systems fitted with the VP68 omnidirectional condenser cartridge. The omnidirectional pattern picks up evenly in every direction, holding a consistent tone no matter how the mic is oriented and eliminating proximity effect for natural low end at close range, which makes it a favorite for interviews, awards, and event work where a reporter or presenter is on the move. Axient Digital carries it with wide tuning up to 184 MHz and encrypted transmission for a secure, interference-resistant link.
Selectable RF output of 2, 10, or 35 mW trades range for channel count, and Standard and High Density transmission modes scale the number of simultaneous systems. A low-profile lockable power switch and external charging contacts suit it to rental and broadcast fleets. It ships in G57 (470-616 MHz) or X55 (941-960 MHz) tuning bands with a microphone clip, zipper bag, two AA batteries, and a user guide.
