Tascam RC-10 Wired / Wireless Remote Control for DR-Series Recorders
Handling noise is the quiet killer of an otherwise clean field take, and the RC-10 exists to keep hands off the recorder while it rolls. Four function keys cover the transport, and the unit converts between two modes: a wired remote adapter with a belt clip and a detachable 10 ft cable terminated in 2.5 mm TRS plugs, or an infra-red wireless handset for starting and stopping from across the room.
Wired operation draws its power down the cable, so there is nothing to run flat; wireless runs on a single CR2025 lithium cell at 3 mW. Wired control covers the DR-701D, DR-70D, DR-60DMKII, DR-60D, DR-100MKIII, DR-40X, DR-40 and SD-20M, wireless covers the DA-3000, DA-3000SD, SS-CDR250N and SS-R250N, and the DR-100 and DR-100MKII take it either way.
