Tascam AK-DR70C Accessory Kit for DR-701D / DR-70D

This is the kit that turns a DR-70D or DR-701D into a finished camera rig. The furry windscreen is cut to the shape of the recorder's own built-in mics, so a light outdoor breeze stops arriving as low-frequency rumble on the safety track. It measures 6.5 by 1.75 by 1.3 inches and weighs half an ounce, which is nothing on a rig that is already carrying a recorder.

The shoe mount adapter mounts underneath into a camera accessory shoe and presents a 1/4 in tripod screw on top, so the recorder can hang off the camera; fitted to the top of the recorder instead, it gives a shotgun mic or a wireless transmitter somewhere to live. Two 3.5 mm stereo mini jack cables complete the loop: one from the recorder's CAMERA OUT to the camera's audio input, one from the camera's headphone output back into CAMERA IN, so one pair of headphones monitors both without repatching.
