Tascam CG-1800 Master Clock Generator

The CG-1800 distributes word clock, video reference, AES3/AES11, and S/PDIF sync from a single OCXO (oven-controlled crystal oscillator) rated +/-0.01ppm accuracy, keeping every device in a facility locked to one clock instead of drifting against each other. Twelve BNC word clock outputs and four BNC video outputs cover NTSC, PAL, and HD Tri-level formats, with word clock performance up to 192kHz for high-sample-rate audio work.

A jitter management circuit and glitch-free relocking keep sync stable through a clock dropout instead of muting or clicking downstream gear, and a self-calibration function checks the internal oscillator against an external reference. Settings save to and load from USB, and a built-in analyzer function helps track down a sync problem in a large system without external test gear.
