Shure BLX2 PG58
The BLX2/PG58 is the handheld transmitter half of a Shure BLX vocal system, with the PG58 cardioid dynamic capsule built right into the housing. The PG58 is voiced for live vocals, with a presence lift that pushes a singer or speaker forward in the mix, and its cardioid pattern with a built-in spherical wind and pop filter cuts handling breath and stage bleed. Order it in the same UHF band as your BLX receiver and it drops straight into an existing rig as a spare or second mic.
Setup stays simple: group and channel scan matches the transmitter to a compatible BLX receiver in seconds, and a -10 dB gain setting keeps a loud vocalist from overloading the input. Two AA batteries give up to 14 hours of use, and the link holds a line-of-sight range up to 300 feet.
