Rode SC4 Adaptor

The RODE SC4 is a shielded 11 cm adaptor cable that takes a 3.5mm TRS output into a 3.5mm TRRS input. That is the cable you need when a VideoMic or any other TRS microphone has to feed a smartphone or tablet, whose single jack expects the four-conductor TRRS wiring.

It is a short pigtail rather than a run of cable, so the mic sits close to the phone without a loop of slack to snag. The shield keeps handling and RF noise out of a signal that is running at mic level into a consumer input.
