Rode SM6 Shock Mount with Detachable Pop Filter
The SM6 is the studio suspension mount for RODE's large-diaphragm condensers. The elastic cradle isolates the microphone from the desk, the floor, and the stand itself, so foot taps, keyboard thumps, and building rumble do not arrive at the capsule as low-frequency energy you then have to filter out of the take. RODE lists it as compatible with the K2, NTK, NT2000, NT2-A, NT1000, NT1, and NT1-A.
The detachable pop filter is the other half of the job. It mounts on a telescopic arm with two axes of adjustment, so you set the distance and angle to the capsule rather than accepting whatever a clamp-on gooseneck gives you, and it lifts off entirely when you are tracking an instrument instead of a voice. The whole assembly is 210 mm tall by 133 mm wide by 210 mm deep and weighs 682 g.
