Blackmagic Teranex Optical to HDMI 12G Converter
The Teranex Mini Optical to HDMI 12G converts SDI and SMPTE optical fiber to HDMI, so a signal carried over long fiber runs can drive an HDMI display. It takes a 12G-SDI input and, with the chosen optical SFP module, an optical fiber input, then outputs HDMI 2.0 up to 2160p60. A built in down converter lets Ultra HD sources be viewed on HD displays, and an ethernet port handles remote administration.
The single mode optical SFP is chosen separately in 3G, 6G or 12G-SDI to match the run. Audio de-embeds to two channels of balanced analog XLR or four channels of AES/EBU digital, with the right XLR switchable to a timecode output. The unit uses the standard Teranex Mini chassis and works with the optional Rack Shelf and Smart Panel.
