Blackmagic Teranex HDMI to Optical 12G Converter

The Teranex Mini HDMI to Optical 12G converts an HDMI source to SDI and to SMPTE optical fiber, so video and embedded audio can travel long distances over 3G, 6G or 12G-SDI fiber. It provides a 12G-SDI output and XLR audio connections, plus an up converter for viewing SD and HD sources on Ultra HD displays and an ethernet port for remote administration. The optical SFP module is chosen separately to match the run, in 3G, 6G or 12G-SDI.

The HDMI input is HDMI 2.0 with support up to 2160p60. Audio embeds from two channels of balanced analog XLR or four channels of AES/EBU digital, with the right XLR switchable to timecode. The unit uses the standard Teranex Mini chassis and works with the optional Rack Shelf and Smart Panel.
