Sony HDRC-4000 HDR Production Converter Unit
The HDRC-4000 is the converter that makes Sony's SR Live for HDR workflow practical on a live show: it produces simultaneous real-time streams so one camera feed serves both an HDR and an SDR distribution path. It outputs 4K HDR (S-Log3, BT.2020), HD HDR, 4K SDR and HD SDR without loss.
Its AIR (Artistic Intent Rendering) Matching function carries the producer's intent across those distribution formats rather than leaving each one to be corrected separately. The chassis is 1.5RU, which is what makes it usable in an outside broadcast environment, and it is driven from control gear a truck already has: MSU-1000/1500/3000/3500 and RCP-1500/3500 remote controllers, or the HZC-CSM10 software master control.
