Tascam MM-2D-X 2-Channel Dante Converter with DSP Mixer
The MM-2D-X puts two mic or line inputs and two line outputs on a Dante network from a half-rack box, with +48 V phantom power and remotely controllable mic gain so the preamps can be trimmed from a control room. Four Dante channels are available in each direction, and an internal DSP mixer handles matrixing without a separate processor.
Power over Ethernet means one Cat cable does data and power, which is what makes the unit practical at a lectern or a ceiling location; a TASCAM PS-P1220E adapter is available where PoE is not. Conversion covers 44.1 to 96 kHz at 16 or 24-bit, minimum input level is -74 dBu, and the unit draws 6 W.
