Marshall Electronics CV348 Compact POV Camera
The CV348 is a compact POV camera built around a 2.2 megapixel 1/2.8-inch Sony sensor with a square pixel array, feeding a 10-bit 4:2:2 BT.709 3GSDI output. Sensitivity is 0.01 lux in normal operation and 0.005 lux in night mode, where the sensor is allowed to see IR wavelengths, which is what lets it hold a picture in the variable lighting of a live event, an arena or a sanctuary.
The body is machined from a single block of aluminium alloy with rear connector protection wings, and the lens mount is CS/C, so the lens is chosen for the job and sold separately. Resolutions cover 1920x1080p, 1920x1080i and 1280x720p at 60, 59.94, 50, 30, 29.97, 25, 24 and 23.98 fps. A locking Hirose cable carries genlock, RS-485 control, stereo audio and 12 V power on one connector; power draw is 3.8 W with a 7 - 15 V input range. Remote adjust and match runs from Marshall's Camera Control Software, a CV-RCP-V2 control panel, or third-party decks such as Cyanview and Skaarhoj, and firmware updates go in over a micro-USB port.
