Gitzo Mountaineer Series 0 Carbon Fiber Tripod

Series 0 is where the Mountaineer line starts: the thinnest Carbon eXact tube set Gitzo builds into a full-height tripod, aimed at mirrorless bodies and short primes carried a long way from the car. The 3-section GT0532 weighs 1.07 kg and still carries a rated 12 kg, and the G-lock Ultra twist collars seal with an O-ring so grit does not work its way into the leg joints.

The removable, reversible rapid centre column drops the camera to 15 cm off the ground, and three angle selectors per leg set 23, 55 and 83 degrees independently. Choose the 3-section for the stiffest legs, or the 4-section GT0542 when folded length matters more than rigidity. The top casting takes both a 1/4 inch and a 3/8 inch screw, so it accepts any Gitzo head without an adapter.
