Gitzo Series 1 Centre Ball Head

The Series 1 centre ball head is the size that belongs on a Series 0 or 1 Mountaineer or a Traveler: 0.5 kg, 11.2 cm tall, 42 mm at the base, and a rated 14 kg safety payload that is well past what those legs will ever be asked to carry.

The ball lock and the panning lock are separate, so a panorama can be levelled once and then swung without the framing drifting. A bubble level sits in the base, front and lateral tilt run -90 to +40 degrees, and the quick release takes a GS5370SD plate. The Traveler variant GH1382TQD is shaped to nest inside the folded legs of a Traveler tripod.
