Gitzo Mountaineer Series 2 Carbon Fiber Tripod

Series 2 is the point in the Mountaineer range where the tubes get thick enough for professional glass: 21.7 to 29 mm carbon, 1.67 kg on the 3-section, and a rated 22 kg safety payload. Maximum height is 166 cm with the column up and 138 cm with it down, which is eye level for most operators without extending the column at all.

All three variants share the same top casting with 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch screws, a 60 mm upper disc, and G-lock Ultra twist collars with sealing O-rings. The 4-section GT2542 folds shorter for travel, and the GT2543L runs longer legs for extra height when the column stays down.
