Gitzo Padded Tripod Bag
A tripod bag has one job that most get wrong: swallowing the head as well as the legs. These are cut asymmetrically, wider at one end, so a ball head or a fluid head can stay bolted on while the tripod goes in the bag. Two full-length zippers open the whole case rather than making you feed the legs through a tube.
The shell is padded rip-stop nylon, chosen for tear and abrasion resistance rather than looks, and it takes the knocks that a tripod in a car boot or an equipment truck collects. Two touch-fastening carry handles are stitched to the outside and a fixed shoulder strap takes the weight on longer walks. Choose the GC4101 for folded legs up to 81 cm, or the GC5101 for up to 89 cm or a larger head.
