Gitzo Series 2 Off Centre Ball Head
Moving the ball off the centre line buys tilt range: front tilt runs -180 to +180 degrees instead of the -90 to +40 a centre ball head allows, which is what makes this the head for verticals, copy work and anything shot straight down. Lateral tilt is 0 to +90 degrees and panning is a full 360 degrees on its own lock.
The body is magnesium at 0.55 kg, 11 cm tall on a 60 mm base, with a rated 5 kg safety payload. The GH2750QR carries a quick release plate with a 1/4 inch screw; the GH2750 has a fixed platform for photographers who would rather bolt the camera down and leave it.
