Chauvet DJ Pinspot Q1Z ILS Pinspot's Job Is to Put a Hard Circle of Light Exactly
A pinspot's job is to put a hard circle of light exactly where you want it - on a mirror ball, a cake table, a centerpiece - and the Pinspot Q1Z ILS does it with colour and a zoom instead of a fixed white beam and a gel. One 20W quad-color RGBW LED gives 617 lumens with real colour mixing, and the manual zoom runs 5 to 25 degrees, so the same fixture makes a tight 5-degree pin at 4,081 lux at 2 meters or opens out to a soft 25-degree pool.
An OLED display puts addressing and mode selection on the fixture, and it runs at 4, 6 or 7 DMX channels over 3-pin XLR. ILS compatibility ties it into a GigBAR-driven rig, the optional IRC-6 handheld covers non-DMX control, and a D-Fi USB dongle makes either wireless. Strobe runs to 33 Hz. It draws 9W at 120V, weighs 3 lb, and hangs from an M12 bracket hole; Chauvet sizes the CHS-40 gear bag to fit.
