Chauvet DJ Shocker FX
The Shocker FX does three jobs in a 2-pound bar: a cool white blinder, an RGB wash, and a strobe. What makes it worth programming rather than just flashing is the zoning - twelve independently controllable sections (eight RGB and four white) let you run chases and split-colour looks across the face of a single fixture, and Chauvet builds in effect macros that combine zone control with strobe patterns.
The tri-color array is 280 LEDs at 50W total, the white blinder section is 56 LEDs at 11W, and together they make 1,981 lumens across a 97-degree beam and 139-degree field - wide enough to cover an audience from a low truss. DMX runs at 8, 18, 30 or 43 channels over 3-pin XLR depending on how much zone control you want; master/slave and the optional IRC-6 handle console-free use. It draws 45W, links twelve units on a 120V circuit, and measures 10.2 x 3.25 x 5.1 inches.
