Blackmagic DeckLink IP HD Optical
The DeckLink IP HD Optical is a PCIe capture and playback card that connects a workstation to a SMPTE ST2110 IP video network over optical fiber instead of copper or SDI. It handles two channels of video capture and two channels of playback at the same time, each up to 1080p60 with 16 embedded audio channels, so a single card can both ingest and play out feeds on an IP plant. Video standards are multi-rate and cover 525i, 625i, 720p, 1080i and 1080p up to 1080p60.
The network side uses a 10G optical fiber SFP+ port carrying fiber in and out, which suits longer cable runs than a BASE-T connection. It captures and plays popular formats including Apple ProRes, DNxHD and 10-bit uncompressed. The card installs in a PCI Express 4-lane generation 2 slot and is compatible with 4, 8 and 16 lane slots. It ships as Blackmagic part number BMD-BDLKIPDIP/OPT/HD.
