Blackmagic Decklink Quad 2
The DeckLink Quad 2 is an 8-channel PCIe capture and playback card for workstations that need to move a lot of SDI at once. It carries eight bidirectional 3G-SDI connections on DIN (Mini-BNC) ports, and each one is independently configurable, so you can set up any combination of capture and playback channels up to 1080p60. That makes it a natural fit for multi-channel ingest, playout, and live production servers running several signals in parallel.
Each SDI connection embeds 16 channels of audio in SD and HD, and the card works with compressed formats such as ProRes and DNxHD as well as uncompressed 10-bit 4:2:2 and 4:4:4 video. A Tri-Sync or Black Burst reference input keeps everything genlocked. It installs in a PCI Express 8 lane generation 2 slot, is compatible with 8 and 16 lane slots, and is supported on Mac, Windows, and Linux. Blackmagic part number BMD-BDLKDVQD2.
