Yamaha CHR Series Passive Loudspeaker
CHR is Yamaha's passive counterpart to the DHR powered line: a plywood, polyurea-coated two-way cabinet for installers and rental shops who already own amplifiers and want a durable box to hang on them. Both models are bass-reflex designs at 8 ohms nominal with a 1-inch throat compression driver and a ferrite-magnet cone, and both take Speakon NL4MP connectors wired in parallel so cabinets can be chained.
The CHR10 pairs a 10-inch cone with a 1.4-inch diaphragm driver, handles 350 W program, and has a rotatable horn plus a single bottom pole socket, which makes it the natural delay or fill box. The CHR15 uses a 15-inch cone at 500 W program with a 49 Hz low corner and two side handles, and both models carry M10 rigging points on the top and rear for eyebolt suspension.
