Yamaha DXS Series Powered Subwoofer
The Yamaha DXS series adds deep, controlled low end to a DXR or DBR top system. Each cabinet is a bass-reflex powered subwoofer driven by a 1020 W Class-D amplifier with onboard DSP, cardioid mode, and crossover and delay controls, so a small production can build a clean, directional low-frequency system without an outboard rack.
The DXS12mkII (12-inch, 134 dB SPL, down to 42 Hz) is the compact choice for portable rigs; the DXS15mkII (15-inch, 135 dB, 40 Hz) balances output and size; and the DXS18 (18-inch, 136 dB, 32 Hz) delivers the lowest, hardest-hitting extension in the standard line. All include pole sockets for the matching tops and M20 threads for a distance pole.
