Yamaha DXR mkII Powered Loudspeaker
The Yamaha DXR mkII series is the high-output tier of Yamaha's powered PA speakers, each pairing a cone woofer with a 1.75-inch neodymium compression driver behind a constant-directivity horn. A 1100W Class-D amplifier and Yamaha's FIR-X tuning, a linear-phase FIR crossover, give these boxes both very high SPL and tight time alignment between the woofer and horn, so vocals stay clear even at concert levels.
Four sizes cover the range: the DXR8mkII (8-inch, 130 dB SPL) for stage fills and tight rooms, the DXR10mkII (10-inch, 132 dB), the DXR12mkII (12-inch, 134 dB) as a workhorse main, and the DXR15mkII (15-inch, 134 dB) for maximum low-end punch. All share a 90 x 60 degree horn, an integrated D-CONTOUR multiband processor, combo and RCA inputs with a small mixer, and pole-mount and floor-monitor angles.
