Symetrix xIO Dante I/O Expander
The xIO family adds analog channels to a Symetrix DSP over Dante on a standard IT network, which is usually cheaper and tidier than buying a second processor. Configuration and control happen in Composer, so there are no circuit-board jumpers, no mechanical adjustments, and no third-party application in the chain.
The half-rack units, xIn 4, xOut 4, and xIO 4x4, run on Power over Ethernet with injectors included, so each is a single cable to the closet. The twelve-channel xIn 12 and xOut 12 have internal power supplies and built-in network switches for direct connection to a DSP, plus a secondary Gigabit port for redundant Dante or a daisy chain of up to ten units when external switches are used. xIn models carry +48 VDC phantom power on every mic/line input. xIO Stage 4x4 is the road version, a 4-in, 4-out Dante digital snake on Neutrik metal-body DL series XLR connectors for wall or floor mounting. Optional rack and surface mounting kits are sold separately.
