Symetrix 4 Channel AEC Input Card
The 4 Channel AEC Input Card adds four channels of wideband acoustic echo cancellation to a Radius NX or Edge DSP, with the cancellation done on the card rather than borrowed from the host processor. Each AEC channel has a discrete reference input and a zero-latency direct output, so the local reinforcement path is not delayed by the conferencing path and a room can do both jobs at once.
AEC processing can be applied to the card's own direct inputs or to sources routed internally, which means a ceiling array arriving over Dante is cancelled just as readily as a mic on the card. Latency through the AEC is 11 mS with tail lengths to 300 mS and a convergence rate better than 100 dB/s. A/D dynamic range is 115 dB A-weighted, and direct-path latency is 0.28 mS. The card is field swappable by a certified technician.
