Sennheiser AWM UHF Active Wall-Mount Antenna
In a fitted-out room, a paddle antenna on a stand is the thing everybody trips over and nobody wants to look at. The AWM UHF is Sennheiser's answer for Evolution Wireless Digital installs: a 180 x 180 mm active directional panel only 53 mm deep that screws to a wall, a ceiling, a 3/8 inch stand thread or a VESA 100 plate and stops being visible.
Active means the amplification happens at the antenna, before the cable loss, on 12 V fed over the coax at about 100 mA. Choose the band that matches the system: the 470 to 694 MHz version gives at least 3 to 4.5 dBi across its range, the 823 to 1075 MHz version at least 6 dBi. Connection is BNC female, DC coupled, into a 50 ohm receiver input.
