Rode NTG8 RF-Bias Long Shotgun Microphone
The NTG8 is a broadcast-grade long shotgun microphone for capturing dialogue and effects from a distance. Its long interference tube gives an extremely narrow, highly directional pickup that stays tight even at lower frequencies, so it isolates a subject from a noisy or reverberant location the way a shorter shotgun cannot. RF-bias circuitry makes the mic highly resistant to moisture and condensation, keeping it working in humid, cold or damp exterior conditions that would fault a conventional condenser.
At 559 mm long with a supercardioid pattern and a low 25 ohm output impedance, it is built for the boom on serious film and broadcast productions. It ships with the SM8 shock mount for isolation from handling and vibration, a windshield and a storage cylinder, and is covered by Rode's 10-year warranty.
