Rode Reporter Omni Interview Microphone
The Reporter is a dynamic omnidirectional handheld microphone made for interviews, vox pops and on-location presentation. Its omnidirectional pattern picks up a voice evenly regardless of how the mic is angled, which is exactly what a reporter wants when passing the mic between an interviewer and a subject. The response is tuned for speech, with a lift through the presence region so voices stay clear and intelligible over ambient noise.
The dynamic capsule is internally shockmounted to reject handling and low-frequency environmental rumble, and a multi-layer mesh basket acts as a built-in windscreen against plosives and light wind, so no external foam is needed. It connects over a standard XLR output and ships with a detachable microphone flag for network branding and a zippered carry bag, backed by Rode's 10-year warranty.
