Martin Audio CDD5TX-WR 5.25" Weather-Resistant Coaxial Loudspeaker

The CDD5TX-WR is the smallest weather-resistant CDD, a 3 litre ABS box holding a 5.25" long-excursion LF driver and a coaxially mounted 0.75" fabric dome. Coaxial Differential Dispersion is what makes it worth specifying outdoors: horizontal coverage narrows from 120 to 90 degrees as you move away from the box, so the far end of a terrace hears roughly what the near end does instead of dropping off a cliff.

Everything about the WR build is aimed at weather. The grille is zinc-plated mild steel with a powder coat and a weatherised backing, the input panel has a weatherproof cover with dual cable glands, and the whole unit is rated IP54. The onboard transformer takes 100V line taps at 6, 12.5 and 25W or 70V taps at 3, 6, 12.5 and 25W, so a run of these sits on a single distributed amplifier channel. Four M6 inserts take wall or ceiling brackets, and black, white and marine-grade white finishes are available.
