Martin Audio CDD8TX-WR 8" Weather-Resistant Coaxial Loudspeaker with Transformer

The CDD8TX-WR is the transformer-equipped version of the 8-inch weather-resistant CDD, for outdoor jobs wired as a distributed line rather than low impedance. The acoustic front end is shared with the CDD8-WR, an 8" long-excursion driver and a coaxial 1" exit polyimide compression driver in a 14 litre composite enclosure, covering 110 to 80 degrees horizontally and 60 degrees vertically.

The transformer offers 70V taps at 15, 30, 60 and 120W and 100V taps at 30, 60 and 120W, presented on a five-way Phoenix connector; there is no low-impedance bypass, so this is the version you order when the whole site runs on a constant-voltage amplifier. Terminal-block spring connections sit behind a weatherproof panel cover with a cable gland, the grille is zinc-plated steel with a powder coat and weatherised backing, and the unit is rated IP54. Output is 115dB continuous and 121dB peak.
