Hear Technologies AM12 Ambient Microphone

The AM12 is a 12 inch podium-style gooseneck condenser built for the Hear Back PRO Mixer. It feeds the mixer's ambient channel, so a player wearing sealed in-ears still hears the room, the count-off and whoever is talking to them.

The capsule is supercardioid, which keeps the wedge and the drum kit out of the pickup while still opening up the space in front of it. It runs on the 15 volt phantom the PRO Mixer supplies, so there is no external preamp or power brick in the chain. The same input doubles as an intercom mic when the mixer is used for talkback.
