Padcaster Mini Microphone Kit
A compact cardioid electret condenser built for the gap between a camera's onboard microphone and a full boom rig. The aluminium body is small enough to sit in a phone cage and rigid enough to survive a bag, and it is plug and play with no battery to remember.
Both leads are in the box, TRS for a camera, recorder, or PC and TRRS for a phone or tablet, so the same microphone follows the shoot across devices. The kit adds a shock mount that keeps handling noise off the track, a thick outdoor windscreen for wind, a built-in cold shoe, a dual microphone and headphone splitter, and a drawstring bag. Frequency response runs 35 Hz to 18 kHz.
