BassBoss SSP118-MK3 Single 18 inch Powered Subwoofer

The SSP118-MK3 is the one-box subwoofer in the BassBoss line: a single 18-inch neodymium woofer on a 4.5-inch CCAW voice coil, driven by 2,500 watts of Class D power, reaching 30 Hz and holding 130 dB sustained at one meter. At 125 pounds it is a solo carry, which is why it ends up under mobile DJ rigs, in bar and small club installs, and as compact touring support.

Protection is handled inside the DSP rather than by a rack of outboard gear: multi-stage limiting covers thermal, excursion, and clipping conditions, plus short-circuit and DC offset. Eight presets switch from pushbuttons on the cabinet and another hundred can be stored over the network with the ControlBASS software for macOS and Windows. The enclosure is CNC-machined 18 mm Baltic birch with dado joinery and internal bracing, wrapped in impact-resistant polyurea, with weather-sealed powerCON TRUE1 connectors and an auto-sensing 100 to 240 VAC supply.
