BassBoss ZV28-MK3 Dual 18 inch Powered Subwoofer
The ZV28-MK3 is built for depth rather than raw level. Two 18-inch neodymium drivers on 4.5-inch CCAW voice coils sit in a large 42-inch square cabinet that reaches 23 Hz within 3 dB as a single box and 21 Hz when cabinets are paired. Sustained output is 134 dB with 137 dB peaks, so it is not short of level either, but the reason to specify it is content below where most subwoofers stop.
Each driver has its own 2,500-watt Class D channel for 5,000 watts in the cabinet, managed by a 96 kHz DSP with eight pushbutton presets and up to a hundred stored over the network through ControlBASS. Multiple cabinets can be run in cardioid mode for 360-degree control of where the energy goes. The enclosure is CNC-machined birch plywood in a polyurea shell, at 235 pounds net, and the auto-sensing supply runs on 100 to 240 VAC at 9 A nominal on 120 V.
