Atomos Nexus HDMI to USB Converter
The Atomos Nexus is the shortest path between a real camera and a video call or a stream. Plug the HDMI out of a mirrorless, DSLR, or camcorder into one end, plug the other end into a laptop's USB-A port, and the camera appears as a standard webcam source - no drivers to install, no capture software, and no power supply, because it draws what it needs from the USB port.
It accepts an HDMI signal up to UHD 4K at 30p and delivers up to 1080p60 over USB 3.1 Gen 1, which is the resolution the conferencing and streaming platforms actually accept anyway. Because it presents itself as a standard USB video device, it works in OBS, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Twitch, and YouTube Live without configuration. The body is a slim 12 mm aluminum barrel that sits directly off the laptop rather than hanging on a cable. Atomos part number ATOMNEXU01.
