BirdDog PLAY HDMI to NDI Converter
PLAY is BirdDog's smallest video converter, taking a single HDMI source and putting it on the network as NDI. It covers the full range of BirdDog's NDI encoding, from full-bandwidth NDI at 1080p60 down through NDI|HX2 and NDI|HX3, so the same box can feed a wired studio switcher or a bandwidth-constrained Wi-Fi link depending on which format the receiving system prefers.
Video runs up to UHD 2160p or down to HD 720p at rates from 25 to 60fps, decode is capped at 1080p60 (or UHD60p over NDI|HX), and audio rides embedded on the HDMI input with an analogue output also available. It connects over Gigabit Ethernet, takes USB-A for a mouse or keyboard, and runs from a 5V/2A USB-C supply in a case measuring 85 x 85 x 19mm and weighing 97g.
