BirdDog Mini HDMI to NDI Encoder/Decoder
The BirdDog Mini is a palm-sized HDMI-to-NDI converter that puts an HDMI camera or source onto a network over a single Ethernet cable. It works both directions: click a button in its web console and the same box becomes an NDI decoder, driving an HDMI display from a network source. Video runs up to 1080p59.94, and a built-in NDI Tally display lets on-air talent see at a glance which camera is live.
One HDMI Type A connector serves as the input, with a second as loop or decode output, and 10/100/1000 Ethernet carries video, audio, control, and power on one run. Two channels of 24-bit embedded audio ride along at 48 kHz. Power comes from a PoE switch or injector, from a camera battery over D-tap, or from the included AC adapter.
